Betting suspended as Abramovich axe hangs over Chelsea boss Conte

Betting is being suspended on the sacking of Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

The Sun says his job is hanging by a thread after their thrashing by Watford.

This crushing defeat came 24 hours after the Italian asked owner Roman Abramovich to back him.

Instead, the Russian is poised to axe him, with Carlo Ancelotti and Luis Enrique favourites to step in.

Bookies are now suspending betting on Conte being axed TOMORROW.

But Conte said: “I'm not worried about my job. I work every day and I give 120 per cent. OK? If this is enough, it's OK. Otherwise, the club can take a different decision. But I'm not worried.

“Tomorrow is another day. I can be the Chelsea coach or not. Which is the problem? My conscience is clear.

“I try to do everything. If it's not good, the club can make a different decision. Life goes on.

“I have great disappointment, for sure. Our performance was very poor tonight."
