Lazio has entered into a shirt sponsorship deal with betting company Marathonbet, reports SportBusiness.

The agreement will run through to the end of 2018, with Marathonbet branding to feature on Lazio players' shirts.

Marathonbet branding will also appear on LED advertising screens inside the team's Stadio Olimpico.

Natalia Zavodnik, chief executive of Marathonbet, said: "Working with a club with such an illustrious history as that of the Lazio emphasises our intention to continue our growth in the Italian market and beyond, and we cannot wait to see the club's progression, both nationally and in Europe this season."
