Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits the current squad is the best he's had. Wenger is delighted with the strength in depth at his disposal.

Wenger said: " It is true that the squad has maybe more strength than I have had ­before. At centre-back, yes, but also in midfield.

"We've Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky, who are not playing at the moment, as well as Emmanuel ­Frimpong, Francis Coquelin and Aaron Ramsey, who are also out."

He continued: "Cazorla has provided the link ­between midfield and the final third. He has the ability to turn the game.

"Cazorla and Arteta would play for their country ­frequently if they did not come from Spain.

"They have so many ­excellent midfield players that not even Cesc Fabregas cannot always get in.

"As for Diaby, he is a ­fantastic player and he has also had a long time out through injury. He is a good example for Jack Wilshere."
