Roberto Bettega has assured Juventus fans of major improvements in the second-half of the season.
Bettega is a legend in Turin, having made 326 appearances for Juventus over 13 years and worked as a director from 1994 until 2007.
"It's a very important role, but I could not consider it too important with respect to my 35 years with Juve," Bettega announced.
"I never wanted to be the centre of attention, but Juve has always been in front of me and it will be the same now because if I do well for Juve, I do well for me and for everyone.
"I have always believed in team play. I am convinced that we will manage to do it and make good progress. My conviction is that this is not the real Juve; that of two or three months ago is instead.
"There is a lot of work to do to understand how we can return to being that Juve."
