Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has been shocked by Carlo Ancelotti's advice to PSG midfielder Marco Verratti.

Former Real coach Ancelotti worked with Verratti at PSG and knows the Italian is weighing up his future this summer.

Diario Gol says while Verratti hasn't been a priority target for Florentino, he is eager not to see the midfielder move to eternal rivals Barcelona.

However, the president has learned Ancelotti has encouraged Verratti to take the Barca option, convinced the Nou Camp would be the best move for him.

This follows on from revelations in his book, where Ancelotti was critical of Florentino, accusing him of team selection interference involving Gareth Bale.
