The Ugandan Observer reports Henry Dhabasani, a Gunners fan from Uganda, opted to risk losing his two-bedroom house in a wager with Rashid Yiga, hoping that his beloved club would win.
Honouring his side of the bet, Yiga threw in his new Toyota and, rather more bizarrely, his wife, stating that Manchester United would win.
The pair even got several residents and local leaders from their town to witness the bet, as well as entering the bet into writing.
Dhabasani, who has five children and three wives, lost the bet when Robin van Persie scored the only goal of the game to give David Moyes’ side a 1-0 victory.
The newspaper reported that he fainted when he saw the result, supposedly in shock that he had actually lost his house.
The supporter, along with his family, was reportedly thrown out of his house by a group of Manchester United supporters.
