Leon Best is excited by his attacking partnership with Newcastle United teammate Demba Ba.
Best and Demba Ba have bagged 12 Premier League goals between them, helping the Toon to fourth place in the table - one point ahead of Chelsea.
He told The Sun: "Demba and I still have the hunger and the fight to prove people wrong.
"I have always admired Torres but it just goes to show what happens when things get in your head. Maybe his self-belief isn't as strong as it should be.
"I watched a film when I was a kid called Space Jam and the cartoon figure stole Michael Jordan's talent.
"That hasn't happened. Or at least I don't think it has!
"He is at a club like Chelsea where you would have thought it would have taken off. But it hasn't happened.
"Chelsea have lost four times, we have lost once. Yet they are in the title race but we aren't . . . it's like the critics don't want to give us any praise. We are doing the club proud."
