Besiktas striker Alvaro Negredo is interesting Cardiff.

The Mirror says Cardiff are preparing a €3m bid for Negredo, according to reports in Turkey.

Following the Bluebirds' 2-1 defeat to Real Betis on Saturday, Neil Warnock re-iterated his desire to bring in a forward before Thursday's 5pm transfer deadline.

When asked after the match if a new striker was on the agenda, the Yorkshireman responded: “Yes I think so. We didn't play with one today and I thought we did alright.

“We had two smaller lads and I thought we played quite well doing that. We had a bit more threat and movement so who knows."
