Besiktas star Guti has denied claims he crashed his car in Istanbul while driving drunk.

The former Real Madrid ace insists the incident has been "blown out of proportion".

"I understand that here in Turkey things are exaggerated about me, but it's a lie to say I was drunk," he told Marca.com.

"It was a light crash. Only broke the mirror of my car. There is no further damage."
