Besiktas signing Caner Erkin has taken aim at Inter Milan coach Frank de Boer.

Erkin was sold to Besiktas without ever having made a competitive appearance.

“The club had been following me for two years, finally this was a good year for me to arrive," Erkin explained to Cumhuriyet.

“Then it so happened that Roberto Mancini moved on and Frank de Boer was called, who I fear had a prejudice against me.

“I was kept out of training for two or three days, maybe it was as many as four I can't remember exactly.

“I was never given a plausible explanation for his choices, at which point I had to conclude it was because of bias, I can't find any other reasons. Maybe it's because I'm a Turkish player or other reasons.

“It definitely wasn't a nice thing, but it was nice to come to Besiktas and I'm happy now."
