Besiktas to sign ex-Rangers keeper McGregor is Nice’s Ospina declines

Turkish club Besiktas have revealed that they prefer Nice goalkeeper David Ospina to former Rangers gloveman Allan McGregor.

Turkish club Besiktas have revealed that they prefer Nice goalkeeper David Ospina to former Rangers gloveman Allan McGregor.

23-year old Colombian Ospina is Besiktas’ number one target as the club tries to sort out a £4million deal for his services but it is believed that Scotland international McGregor, who has left Rangers, is being used as a bargaining tool.

Besiktas say they have held talks with McGregor but will not really go after him unless the potential Ospina deal falls over.

“We have made a new offer to Nice for Ospina. Let’s wait and see if a deal can be reached,” said Besiktas boss Samet Aybab.

“We have also spoken to McGregor but if the transfer can be finished with Nice, Ospina will be our No.1.”
