Besiktas are moving for Barcelona defender Jeremy Mathieu.
NTVSpor says Besiktas have made a seven million euros offer for the former Valencia player, who is about to begin his third season at the Camp Nou.
Besiktas president, Fikret Oman, would personally lead negotiations according to the Turkish website. A few weeks ago, the Black and Whites also tried to instigate a move for fellow Barça defender Thomas Vermaelen, but talks were unsuccessful.
With the addition of Samuel Umtiti, the Blaugrana now have five players in the centre-back position, which is why Besiktas see this as an ideal opportunity to try to tempt Mathieu away from Catalonia.
