Besiktas remain keen on Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz.
Fanatik says after making enquiries last week, Besiktas have decided to pull back from negotiations ahead of the World Cup.
Besiktas are confident Santa Cruz will become available once City bring in a new centre-forward this summer.
However, the Turkish giants have informed City they won't consider meeting their opening £12 million asking price.
