Besiktas are joining the battle for Valencia centre-forward Nikola Zigic.

The Turkish outfit have already made contact with Valencia to register their interest in the striker, who is also wanted by former club, Racing Santander.

Besiktas see Zigic as an alternative as they negotiate with former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo about a return to Europe for the second-half of the season.
