Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic is hopeful of staying at Goodison Park.
Marco Silva is set to start wielding the axe on his squad this week but gave Besic a 90 minute chance to impress in the all-important No6 position against Lille for their 0-0 draw.
Asked if he felt he had impressed Silva, Besic told the Liverpool Echo: “I don't know, you have to ask him.
“But you saw the game, everybody saw the game, I'm confident in my quality after two years that was a difficult spell and it was just a matter of time until my quality came out."
“I'm happy, I'm happy just to be back but we will see what will happen.
“I don't know, it is not in my hands."
