Ryan Bertrand admits he urges Chelsea's younger players to stick with the club.

The England fullback has no thoughts of leaving, himself, despite Ashley Cole being ahead of him in the pecking order.

"It's not just about the club bringing players through," said Bertrand.

"The players might prefer different criteria in their careers. Some may see their opportunities better elsewhere.

"When we're away and I get to spend time with the younger lads, we'll talk about a few things and the options they have. I just reassure them to stay patient and keep working. There is not better place to learn, really. Patience is the key."
