Bertos staying put with Wellington Phoenix

Wellington Phoenix winger Leo Bertos is keen to remain with the club after the being in the limelight for the New Zealand national team at the World Cup.

The 28-year old is reportedly attracting interest from German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen but says for the time being he is happy in the A-League with the Phoenix.

"I'm not going anywhere yet," says Bertos.

"It's all rumours at the moment. I haven't heard anything, but it's a good rumour."

Goalkeeper Mark Paston, who is being linked with a move to the English Premier League, was following Berttos' lead by not getting too caught up in the speculation and stated quite clearly that his commitments lay with the Wellington club.

"At the moment I'm contracted to the Phoenix," says Paston. "It's got to be the right move for me and obviously right for the Wellington Phoenix."
