Nicolas Bertolo says he chose Palermo ahead of Fiorentina.

"I preferred Palermo to Fiorentina," the Banfield midfielder told journalists at the airport yesterday. "I consider them to be an important and decisive club for my career.

"I thank [President Maurizio] Zamparini for the faith he has shown in me. I will repay him on the field."
