Bermuda international Lambe released by Toronto

Toronto FC have confirmed the release of midfielder Reggie Lambe.

The 23-year old Bermuda international has been placed on waivers by the Reds after spending the past two MLS seasons at BMO Field.

TFC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a statement that he was grateful to Lambe for his service to the club.

"We'd like to thank Reggie for his contributions to Toronto FC over the past two seasons, and wish him well in his future endeavours," said Bezbatchenko.

Lambe started his senior career with Ipswich Town in 2009 after coming through the English clubs youth academy before departing Portman Road in 2011 following a loan spell at Bristol City.

He joined Toronto in December 2011 and went on to make 66 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and providing four assists.
