Silvio Berlusconi remains committed to crisis club AC Milan. Despite their amazing clearout and fan protests, Berlusconi has no plans to dump his investment.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Berlusconi, on summer holiday, assured daughter Barbara, who is also a director at the club, that AC Milan remains an important part of the Fininvest portfolio.

Cash will be made available for three major signings before the summer market shuts.

"Milan will remain at the top," Berlusconi told friends on the weekend.
