AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is defiant in the face of calls from fans to sell the club.
Leonardo's final match at San Siro turned into a protest from supporters against Berlusconi's handling of the club finances and particularly their transfer policy.
"Sell Milan? I can't imagine why anyone would ask me this question and I won't even consider it," Berlusconi told Mattino 5.
"I am the person who made Milan's history, making them the club with more trophies than Real Madrid and myself the President who has won the most silverware.
"The next one down on the list is Santiago Bernabeu, who won half as much as me and yet has a stadium dedicated to him in Madrid."
The President, and Prime Minister of Italy, also denied he had been tightening the purse strings.
"I have always put a great deal of attention towards Milan and made many sacrifices for this club.
"If someone thinks my family didn't give Milan sufficient financial support, I'll say that in the last few years we always spent more than 50m per season. If anything, I've spent too much recently."
