AC Milan vice-president Paolo Berlusconi has defended their summer signing policy after a disappointing start to their Serie A campaign.
He said: "Our signing campaign with the transfers of Alexandre Pato, Emerson and I also add Massimo Oddo and Ronaldo, surely cannot be criticized.
"As far as Pato, this has been an intentional operation from all the directors of Milan. We all agreed it was important to sign this important Brazilian player. His class, his beautiful presence gives continuity to the splendid adventure begun with Kaka."
