AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi admits Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko will have to win over a section of the support if he is to return to the club.
"He had to bow down to a decision that his wife considered indispensable for the good of their children and so I supported him," revealed Berlusconi.
"Among the fans there is a confrontation between those who believe he was a traitor and those who want him back. He did not cheat on Milan, he had to put his family first and I understood his decision.
"Now I believe that if he came back, we would welcome him with open arms. I am the first to support a return and hope he does."
