Ajax starlet Christian Eriksen has been recommended to Arsenal by Dennis Bergkamp.

Dutch sources say Gunners legend Bergkamp has tipped off Arsene Wenger about the 18 year-old's potential.

Eriksen plays in a similar role to what Bergkamp enjoyed with Arsenal and already has had trials with Chelsea.

Ajax coach Martin Jol said of the Dane: "His vision is absolutely amazing. He notices everything that's happening around him when he's in possession. There's a chance that we'll add him to the match squad in one of our upcoming matches and he could very well make his debut in the near future."
