Bergkamp is currently working at Ajax with the club's youth team.
The Mail on Sunday says Bergkamp is under consideration to succeed Liam Brady as head of development and the academy at Arsenal.
Dutch coach Andries Jonker is overseeing the academy, after joining in the summer.
