New Brescia coach Mario Beretta was delighted to kickoff his new career with victory over Sampdoria.
Beretta took charge after Beppe Iachini was sacked this week and immediately secured their first win since September 22, beating Sampdoria 1-0.
"I had asked the lads for real intensity and pressure on the opponent, staying tight to put the brakes on Sampdoria's characteristics," he explained.
"The lads were really putting the effort in and ready to sacrifice themselves for the team.
"Obviously it will take time to make the necessary changes, but this is certainly a great start against a top side like Samp."
