Berbatov insists he's committed to Spurs

Dimitar Berbatov has insisted he is happy at Tottenham and determined to repay the faith shown in him by the club.

The Bulgarian striker took the Premier League by storm last season following his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen, but was linked with a move away from Spurs over the summer.

He stayed at White Hart Lane and is adamant that he has every intention of enjoying a long career with the club.

"I don't care for speculation. People talk about me because of what I did last season and that's normal," Berbatov told the Sunday Mirror .

"Am I happy here? What do you think?

"Loyalty is important to me and there is a debt to be repaid. Spurs wanted me no matter what - where were these other clubs then?

"If I leave it's because I'm no longer wanted. I won't ask for a move. I'm very settled here."
