Manchester City are stepping up their pursuit of Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov.
A target also for Manchester United and Kevin Keegan's Newcastle, Berbatov's agent Emil Dantchev is developing a close relationship with City boss Sven Goran Eriksson.
The Times says Dantchev, who has been listening to offers for the Tottenham forward, was invited by Eriksson to watch Manchester City play West Ham United yesterday.
