Benzema tells Real Madrid president Florentino: Don't blame me!

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema believes he's been unfairly blamed for the team's lack of goals this season.

Benzema has managed just one goal in the LaLiga this season - and is fed up with carrying the responsibility for Real's failings.

Diario Gol says Benzema has had his complaints relayed to president Florentino Perez, insisting the problem is more to do with Cristiano Ronaldo and his relationship with coach Zinedine Zidane.

Benzema feels Ronaldo can do no wrong in Zidane's eyes - despite the Portuguese also managing just the one goal so far this season.

The Frenchman is happy to work as Ronaldo's foil in attack, but it should be understood the sacrifice he makes in his game to the benefit of his teammate. That Ronaldo is struggling, Benzema has had relayed to Perez, is no fault of his.
