The agent of Karim Benzema has confirmed Manchester United have held talks with Olympique Lyon about the striker. However, United face competition from Real Madrid and Barcelona for the France international, as Karim Djaziri revealed to El Mundo: "I know that Lyon's directors have met with Barca, Real Madrid and Manchester United's representatives and that all those three great clubs are very interested in signing him regarding next season."

Earlier this month, Benzema admitted he fancied a move to United as he believed it would be the right club for his "development".
