David Bentley praised man-of-the-match Brad Friedel after the goalkeeper produced an outstanding display to secure a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
However, two minutes from time, Carlos Tevez applied the timeliest of finishes from Paul Scholes' flicked header to earn a point for the Red Devils, leaving Bentley disappointed.
"We are disappointed, no doubt about that", admitted the England midfielder.
"We were leading and there was only five minutes to go so a draw in the end is disappointing, but you could probably see it coming. "But Friedel kept them back and he really is different class, one of the best keepers around, and we now expect it from him."
The big American agreed with his team-mate that the result was disappointing because of the manner in which the visitors drew level.
"They were always going to throw everything at you, and we are just disappointed to have conceded a set-piece from which they equalised from.
"Today we showed courage and bravery and performed quite well at times, but against Manchester United you always know they will throw everything at you."
