Bentley chasing FA Cup glory with Tottenham

David Bentley is delighted Tottenham are still alive in the FA Cup.

The England winger is desperate to help Spurs win this season's trophy after their replay win over Bolton Wanderers.

"The cups were always a great chance for youngsters to play early on in my career and the FA Cup has been good to me," revealed Bentley to the Official Tottenham Matchday Programme. "Playing my first ever senior game and also scoring my first goal in the competition are special memories.

"The FA Cup has always been a great cup, whether you're watching or playing in it. Everything is on the line in every game you play in it and as a player, I always get a good feeling when I play in an FA Cup match. You just know that if you score, you could be through, or concede and you're out. It's very definite and small margins can mean going through or going out.

"For me, Gazza's free-kick is my biggest memory as a youngster watching football," he added. "It was a brilliant iconic memory in a competition that is famous across the world."
