Christian Benteke's agent says his client is not about to depart Aston Villa.
The Belgian striker reportedly told media outlets in his homeland as well as in England that he would be open to any offers that come his way this summer but his representative Eric Kismet has made it clear that he is not trying to force a Villa Park exit.
"Christian and I are surprised and disgusted by a story in The Sun newspaper claiming Benteke can do what he wants," he told Sky Sports.
"He has been misquoted. He has called me today from New York and he is disgusted, I have told him not to speak to any media from now on.
"If there is a team, a bigger team that is playing European football next year, shows an interest with Villa concerning Christian, I would lie if I said that Christian would ignore that.
"He's more than happy to stay if he has to stay but we all know he had a good season and it's normal that maybe other teams are more interested in him and he might be interested to play European football, which is why."
