Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke could make his long-awaited return from injury in his side's upcoming clash with Manchester City. The 23 year old Belgian forward has been out since April with an Achilles injury and has recently returned to training.
But boss Paul Lambert has revealed he may be ready in time to face the champions a week on Saturday.
"He's getting closer," said the Scot. "Next week we will see how he is for the Man City game.
"I'm not saying he'll start, or anything, but he's certainly getting close."
