Benteke agent says Villa stay likely
But Benteke is desperate to fire the Villains to Premier League safety and is then ready to reward manager Paul Lambert's faith in him by staying for at least one more season.
Villa's resolve could be tested if they receive a £15m summer bid for Benteke, but Lambert has already made it clear to owner Randy Lerner that he can't afford to cash in.
Benteke's agent Eris Kismet said: "I keep hearing that Christian dreams of playing for different clubs.
"But why dream when he is living a fantastic reality at Aston Villa? He is certainly not thinking about leaving.
"It is always impossible to predict the future in football, but, at the moment I am 99 per cent certain Christian will start next season with Aston Villa in the Premier League.
"Paul Lambert, the club and the fans have all been very good to Christian and that means a lot to him."
If they can avoid relegation, Villa are willing to offer Benteke a double-your-money £40,000-a-week pay rise to ignore interest from elsewhere.
