Charlton striker Darren Bent could be set to snub a move to Liverpool in favour of a switch to Tottenham this summer.

The News of the World claims that Bent will make a £12million move to White Hart Lane in the next few weeks.

The 23-year-old turned down West Ham last week and was immediately touted as a potential big-money signing for Anfield chief Rafael Benitez.

However, it is thought that Bent would prefer to remain in the capital, and long-term admirers Spurs are ready to pounce.
