Darren Bent is targeting a top four finish with Tottenham in his first season at White Hart Lane.
Now Bent reckons his new club can improve on last season's fifth-placed Premier League finish.
He said: "I've moved to a new club and the lads have been fantastic. My main objective is to hold down a regular place and do as well as I can.
"I think we can do really well. We've got some fantastic players and finished fifth in the past two years so there is no reason why we cannot finish in the top four."
Bent is aware that the competition for a striking spot is intense with Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov and Jermain Defoe all vying for a starting place.
He said: "We've got four good strikers and hopefully that is only going to add to Tottenham's firepower and help us push up the league."
