Darren Bent will return to Aston Villa after his loan spell with relegated Fulham and admits it is unlikely he will return to Craven Cottage. The former England striker was often used as a substitute and he admits that his time in London did not turn out as he initially hoped.
"I've enjoyed my time down here but obviously it hasn't gone well. I haven't played as much football as I would have liked," the 30 year old told the Express and Star.
"When I first came here I hoped it was going to be a case of playing fairly regularly, but it just wasn't meant to be."
