Bent to make Spurs debut this weekend

Darren Bent will make his Tottenham debut this weekend against Stevenage Borough.

The 23-year-old, who signed in a £16.5million deal from Charlton last week, has been included in the squad for the clash against the FA Trophy winners at Broadhall Way tomorrow.

Assistant boss Chris Hughton said: "We're missing a few players including the lads who played international football in the summer and three players who trained a little later than the others won't be involved either - Gareth Bale, Didier Zokora and Younes Kaboul.

"Darren Bent will play and that's exciting for everyone, he's done very well in his week's training so far and Robbie Keane looks very fresh after his first summer without international games for just about as long as he can remember.

"So it's an opportunity to see the likes of Darren, Robbie, Adel Taarabt, Steed Malbranque, Danny Murphy, Jamie O'Hara, Ricardo Rocha, Radek Cerny and around those, some of the regular reserve team players."
