Bent insists Tottenham confidence intact after Blackburn defeat

Tottenham's defeat at Blackburn has not affected their confidence, insists striker Darren Bent.

"We have to keep moving forward," Bent told the Spurs website. "The performance was good at Blackburn and we have to take that into the West Ham game.

"At the moment the lads all believe we can get points from every game.

"We've some difficult games coming up but as long as we keep playing as we are there is no reason why we can't beat anyone.

"We've played well for a while now and we need to keep it going and aim for that seventh spot."

The Hammers strengthened their grip on seventh as their main rivals - Wigan, Fulham, Manchester City and Spurs - all lost at the weekend while they best Sunderland at Upton Park.

They are on a run of five matches unbeaten including wins over Wigan and City. "They've put some great results together," added Bent.

"Carlton (Cole) has been fantastic for them, I've known him for a long, long time, since my Under-21s days, and he'll be a big loss for them with his injury.

"We'll concentrate on ourselves though, play the football we know we're capable of and hopefully go out there and beat them."
