Darren Bent was blown away by the reception he received from Tottenham fans for their victory over Torino.

He told the Spurs website: "The reception I got from home fans was great. I'm used to them booing me from when I've come here before with Charlton! But to get a good reception was brilliant, and I hope to repay the fans with some goals in the coming season.

"It's always nice to hit the net in pre-season because it can only breed confidence, and now I can't wait for the proper stuff to get started."
