Benjamin Garre has signed a new deal with Manchester City.
The Manchester Evening News says the Argentine teenager came to Manchester last year but was delayed from playing for the Under-18s until April.
His former club Velez Sarsfield reported City to FIFA claiming an illegal approach , and while they were cleared of any wrongdoing in September it took the majority of the campaign to finally get clearance.
That didn't satisfy Velez Sarsfield though, who have now taken City AND FIFA to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, claiming the move breached world governing body FIFA's rules over the signing of minors from outside the European Union.
The case started at the beginning of July and is ongoing, but that hasn't stopped City from getting Garre signed up just days after his 17th birthday.
