Rafa Benitez has declared he'd like to extend his current contract at Liverpool.

After clear-the-air talks with the club's American owners on Sunday, Benitez is now feeling better about his position and his future with the Reds.

He told DiarioSport: "I am happy. I would like to see out my contract and to extend - if possible. My family has settled very well in the city and, for me, the respect and esteem from the English public is incredible. The support I receive from the people of Liverpool is great."
