Inter Milan boss Rafa Benitez is serious about trumping Liverpool for Milan Jovanovic.
The Mirror says Benitez is ready to risk the wrath of his old club Liverpool by trying to wrestle Jovanovic from them.
Serbian international striker Jovanovic, 29, agreed to join Liverpool this summer on a Bosman after talks in January.
But Jovanovic is having second thoughts about switching from Standard Liege to Anfield since Benitez left.
One of Jovanovic's main motives for going to Merseyside was to work with Benitez.
And free agent Jovanovic could end up playing for Benitez in Italy instead after he succeeded Jose Mourinho in charge of the Italian Champions League winners.
