New Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez is eager to make Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny his first signing.

France Football says Gunners centre-back Koscielny is at the top of Benitez's shopping list.

It is believed that the former Liverpool and Chelsea boss wants the Frenchman to partner Sergio Ramos in defence, which would spell trouble for veteran Pepe.

Koscielny only signed a new Arsenal deal last summer but could be tempted to swap the Emirates for the Santiago Bernabeu should an offer be made.
