Rafael Benitez believes the current international break may have come at just the right time for his Liverpool squad.
The Reds have Xabi Alonso, Daniel Agger and Yossi Benayoun all sidelined with injuries, and with Fernando Torres still not 100 per cent match fit after an adductor problem, Benitez admits a fortnight without action could be a blessing in disguise.
"It could be good timing for us, Benitez told the club's website.
"I don't like to see a lot of players going around the world but this time around it gives our injured players time to recover.
"Agger is running and is much better. Benayoun has started working with the physios but will need time.
"Xabi is closer but I do not think he will be ready for the next game."
