Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is remaining positive despite his side's poor run of recent form.
United succumbed to their third consecutive defeat in the Premier League after going down 4-1 against Manchester United during the weekend but despite the poor run, Benitez has stated that his side are doing well at the moment.
Benitez said: "I think we are doing well. With the players we have, I think we are doing quite well, although it could be better.
"Could it be better? Yes, for sure. But it could also be worse. I am really pleased with what I have seen in the first half, and really proud of this group of players. Obviously, we know that we have to improve some things if we want to be consistent in terms of getting results.
"But we knew before, and we know now, and we will know the same in a couple of months. It is a tough competition and we know we have to keep improving."
