Boss Rafael Benitez believes Liverpool have again come off worst when it comes to opening-day fixtures. The Reds face Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday after last year making a trip to Sunderland in their first game.

Benitez said: "It would be interesting to see how the fixtures are done because every year we seem to have a difficult away game."
