Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez both struck twice as Real Madrid thrashed Real Betis 5-0.
Cristiano Ronaldo was denied many times as Rafael Benitez took charge of his first home game for the Spanish giants as they moved up to third in the table.
Bale got the ball rolling early on while James netted either side of the break before the returning Karim Benzema - back after a thigh injury - headed home a fourth and Bale finished the rout after 89 minutes with a stunning solo effort.
“The positive side of tonight was clear from the first five minutes – the team was aggressive, attacking and immersed in the game," said Rafa Benitez.
"The negatives? Two or three lapses and the penalty but the positives far outweigh the negatives.
“When they play that well there's not much need for me to say anything to them. The players need to remain focused in this age where everything is about social networking and so on. I like seeing Keylor play well like he did this evening but I would prefer to see the players upfront taking centre stage."
