Rafa Benitez admits Liverpool's image around the world would suffer if they failed to qualify for Europe.

Benitez insists he hasn't given up on a Champions League place, but he concedes missing out on Euro competition completely would be a catastrophe.

He admitted: "It's important to be in the Champions League or the Europa League because we have more games to play and also for the image of the club and the money.

"The image would suffer if we missed out on the Europa League, but sometimes you never know what is best. We will try to win the competition, try to be there and if not, we will get ready for the next challenge."
